Founded in 1910, Klann began as a respected builder of pipe organs – many of which still stand in prominent churches across the United States. By the mid 20th century, as ivory for organ keys had become increasingly scarce, our founder and lead inventor, August Klann, began exploring plastic injection molding as an innovative and sustainable alternative.
Klann Plastics was founded with a vision to provide innovative solutions that redefine industry standards. What started as a small team of passionate engineers quickly grew into a company known for its expertise and quality.

What started as a practical solution redefined the direction of the company. Our extensive tool shop shifted its focus to mold building, laying the foundation for what would become more than 75 years of injection molding expertise. Klann is a UL recognized molder and a contract manufacturer of medical devices that are FDA listed. Klann has forged a strong, continuing business relationships with a broad range of Fortune 500 and regional companies alike.
With a commitment to serve diverse industries, Klann Plastics expanded into manufacturing, establishing its first injection molding fabrication facility. This marked a pivotal moment, allowing us to offer end-to-end solutions.

We serve a wide range of industries with many different types of thermoplastic resins, including filled and engineering grades.
Insert molding involves molding plastic around a core or "insert". Most often, the insert is a metal object, such as a pin, blade, threaded rod, electrical contact, wire, etc.
So as not to leave you in any doubt, we are also perfectly happy with orders to churn out those millions of units.
Klann's stocking program can benefit customers in several ways. For example, instead of ordering 1,000 pieces each month, it will be less expensive to place an order for 3,000 pieces with scheduled deliveries of 1,000 each month.
